Andrew Yang is the cofounder of the Forward Party, a new independent political movement dedicated to restoring the promise of US democracy. A Democratic presidential candidate in 2020, he is the founder of Humanity Forward and Venture for America. His New York Times bestseller The War on Normal People helped introduce the idea of universal basic income into the political mainstream, and his most recent book, Forward: Notes on the Future of Our Democracy, became a national bestseller. He is also coauthor of the political thriller The Last Election.

Charlie, a Santa Clara County deputy district attorney and co-founder of the National Asian Pacific Islander Prosecutors Association (NAPIPA), is a legislative advocate and distinguished 20-year criminal prosecutor with extensive records of public service in California. Charles brings decades of professional advocacy experience ranging from mobilizing grass roots campaigns in the community to securing first degree murder convictions in the courtroom.

Veteran PE, VC, and hedge fund professional Mr. Liang has over 25 years of experience spanning Wall Street and the Asia Pacific. He founded OES Capital Group, managing over a billion USD in AUM, and is the Founder and Managing Partner of GSR Matrix Fund and a Partner at GSR Capital Group. An active speaker on trade, public policy, geopolitical issues, and frontier technologies like AI and blockchain, Mr. Liang has presented at the US Congress, United Nations, and various international forums. He is Honorary Chairman of the US-China CEO Organization, Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Blockchain Association, and has held numerous leadership roles in professional and community organizations.

Haipei is the president of United Chinese American. He came to America for a graduate study of sociology in 1987. He has been socially and politically engaged in the Chinese American community since 1990. In early 90’s he was one of the “student lobbyists” responsible for the passage of “Chinese Student Protection Bill”; he lobbied the Congress in mid 90’s for granting China Most Favored Nation (MFN) trade status; from 2009 to 2013, he led and is instrumental in the passing of Congressional apology resolutions for “Chinese Exclusion Act”.

Dr. Michael Chang is the Founder and Executive Director of the Asian Pacific American Leadership Institute and former Mayor of Cupertino. He served in public office for almost 20 years and is a well-recognized civic leader in Silicon Valley. In 1997, Dr. Chang became the first Asian American to serve as Mayor of Cupertino. In the same year, he founded APALI and has led it for over two decades, building a strong pipeline and community of Asian American civic leaders. Dr. Chang is also De Anza College emeritus professor of civic leadership and retired Chair of the Asian American Studies Department. Dr. Chang earned undergraduate degrees in both philosophy & religion and business administration from San Francisco State University. He also earned a Ph.D. in education, as well as master’s degrees in East Asian Studies and political science, all from Stanford University.
